And.. check!
Just a quick little note: I completed my goals this week!
I did all the workouts on my schedule and brought my lunch to work every day and stretched properly after my runs! I feel good!
This morning was my long run day. I wanted to run 10km/6miles and had been planning on doing that all week. When I woke up today I did not feel like it at all! I just wanted to laze around in bed but I told myself that I wouldn't feel better lazing around for 2 hours so I should just get up and focus on how good I'll feel when the run is complete. Honestly it was a rough go. I ended up doing 10.4km/6.5 miles in little over an hour. I took more walking breaks than I'm proud to admit and several times I thought maybe I should just be light on myself and work harder tomorrow. Then I remembered that I'd written down that I was planning on doing 10km and I didn't want to fall back on that. So I ran.. and then came home and stretched and I feel happy that I did what I said I was going to do.
In terms of the scale.. it's not being great but I'm down to my pre-holiday weight, I look better in the mirror and my clothes are all much looser. I'm not going to worry so much about the scale because I know that muscles are building and things in my body are working themselves out. Now is about committing to workouts and healthy eating day after day after day...
