Two Bad Days

I was away on a field trip for the past two days. Two days isn't a long time but at the same time, a bit of damage can be done. The trip included lots of time on a coach bus and all buffet meals. While generally all-you-can-eat in Japan is much healthier than the same thing in North America, it is still difficult to find clean, fresh food. It seems that hotels here have a thing for dumping mayonaise on everything! My goal was not to stuff myself but just enjoy the things I found and to try my best to make healthier choices.
Also, I ran Tuesday morning before we left for the trip and when I got home tonight, I went for a run as well. I still feel kind of dehydrated and "squishy" but I think if I drink lots of water tomorrow and go get my sweat on at Zumba tomorrow night.. I can fix the situation.

I rarely, as in never, run after work but I did this evening. It wasn't terrible but I did feel rather heavy and more like I was plodding heavily along than light and sprightly. Anyway it was good to know I could do it and after doing my 18 minutes of running, 1 minute walking, repeat 3 times thing.. I did feel much better!

It's a short week this week and tomorrow I can finally go back to Zumba! It's been a while due to holidays and scheduling conflicts but I'm happy to get back into the groove!
